Join Our Team

Home Theatre Productions is expanding! We are currently looking for two individuals to join our team in the following roles: Director of Marketing and Director of Fundraising

Wait, why should I work with Home Theatre Productions?

In 2019 we set out with a mission: create a safe space for creators and audiences alike to enjoy seeing popular culture aesthetics on stage. We want to make sure that audiences and creators feel like they belong, creating an atmosphere that encourages community, sincerity, and openness. Since then we’ve produced 4 full-length shows (with one, unfortunately, being cancelled due to COVID-19), 3 digital shows, the New Play Development Staged Reading and several events. And the truth is, our team of three just can’t handle it anymore!

The Current team:
Steven Greenwood – Artistic Director
Lucas Amato – Artistic Associate
Cheyenne Cranston – Executive Director

So, we’re looking to expand our team by two positions: a Director of Marketing and a Director of Fundraising. You would work as part of our core team as we expand our creative mission, and would influence the future of the company. We’re looking for someone who loves theatre and is dedicated and invested in Indie Theatre here in Montreal. Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are wanting to learn and improve in their area of expertise. As Home Theatre learns and grows, we strive to create a place our artists can learn and grow too.

As a queer-centered company, we value diverse perspectives on theatre and theatre-making, and encourage anyone who loves pop culture and theatre as much as we do to apply.

Director of Fundraising

This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

Making theatre takes money. The Director of Fundraising will work closely with the Executive Director to look for creative sources of revenue to help fund our events and shows. We’re looking for someone who loves budgets, crunching numbers, and has some great ideas on finding us funding (the more creative the better!). The responsibilities of the position are flexible based on your area of expertise.

Possible responsibilities include:
-Looking for sources of revenue for shows and events (microgrants, arts funds, corporate sponsorships etc.)
-Contacting potential shows sponsors and partners
