Heroes: Behind the Tights!

Home Theatre Productions is excited to announce that we will be conducting auditions for our upcoming show, Heroes: Behind the Tights.

Much like the classic show Behind the Music (and the classic Simpsons episode Behind the Laughter), we will be exploring the lives of superheroes behind the scenes! We will be presenting two different shows, with different takes on elements of superheroes’ lives that have gone unseen… until now!

The two shows are as follows:

1) The Butler by William Erskine explores what happens back at the command centre when heroes are out on the battlefield. Focusing on the archetypical “butler” character from superhero stories (think Alfred from Batman), the show details a day in the life of The Butler, exploring what they go through when the heroes are out fighting crime. After an award-winning run at Hamilton Fringe, the show will be making its Montreal debut!

2) My Children by Lucas Amato explores the life of a washed-up, aging superhero who relives the horrific life behind the glamorous surface of his career. As he relives his origin story, as well as the origin stories of his two most notorious nemeses, he tells the stories through the jaded, disillusioned lens of a hero who has seen the worst of humanity and begins to question the true roles of heroes and villains.

Open auditions will be held for all characters in both shows! There is a chance that an actor may be cast in both shows.

Auditions will be held in 688 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest on January 18 and the room will be announced on the day of. The auditions on January 22 will take place in the Minimain Studio at Mainline Theatre (3997 St Laurent Blvd).
January 18 from 12:00 noon-5:00 pm
January 22nd from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm
